CME for PAs

To maintain your certification through the NCCPA, a physician assistant must complete 50 hours of continuing medical education each year.  Not only must hours be completed but they must be logged with the national organization.  Good CME is hard to find.  Here are some sources that I think are reasonable.

To help you evaluate the quality of what you read try this resource from the BMJ.  Another evaluation source is here.

eMedicine is a site that has 10,000 hours of cme available for MD’s, PAs, Nurses and Optometrists.  It is very easy to set up and easy to complete.

Core Library for Evidence is a great place to learn about evaluation of medical information.  Besides how to read a paper, it covers research, how to get it into practice and how evidence based medicine can be applied.

Cmecorner.com has free online, mp3 and pdf cme programs on over 20 topics for MDs and PAs.

Online CME absolutely the best place to find online CME in any speciality.
