Epocrates-a PAs lifeline

Epocrates.com is a website that allows you to download software for your desktop or pda. I have used it for a number of years and can not practice without it.

There are also several options with features you pay for. These are:

1)Rx Pro: in addition to the above benefits you get an ID reference for $60/yr

2)SxDx is a data base of symptoms and the Griffiths 5 minute Clinical Consult. I use it daily and it costs $70/yr.

3)Lab covers tests, panels, reference ranges, interpretation and ICD9codes all linked to SxDx above. $70 if bought separately.

4)Epocrates Essentials includes all of the above for $150/yr or $245 for 2 years.

Visit the site, try out the demo and talk to other colleagues.

Daily I use Rx, SxDx, med math and free CME. I can not practice without itl
