A favorite reference

One of the brightest and best PAs I know answered my question about “What reference do you use most?” by going to a book shelf and pulling out a copy of Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment.
“Why this one?” I asked. Her belief was that is was more reliable as a reference, something she could use and feel was accurate, and defendable. It was concise but had enough info to guide her in making evaluation, referral and treatment decisions.
The editions are updated yearly and numbered by year. This year’s edition is CMDT2006. It is available on line or you can order the text from Lange or from Amazon.
