A PA that teaches at the Duke PA program uses a site called UP TO DATE. It claims it has study data that shows it makes more of a difference on patient care quality than any other site. That is quite a claim and it better deliver since it retails for the single user at $495/year the first year and $395 each renewal year.
The institution where my colleague works buys the service for its providers. It does come with unlimited contact hours in category one CME. What are the benefits of UPTODATE.com?

You receive a CD rom for your computer, unlimited internet access, and can choose to use it on your pocket PC. The CD and pocket PC packages are updated every 4 months. It offers information in about 16 different areas of medicine that can be viewed here. For instance, here is the table of contents for Hematology. You can review each area and make your decision. My friend likes UPTODATE.com and uses it daily. I have not used it myself. Anyone else with an opinion?
