Take HEED and Eat a more Healthy Diet
H.E.E.D. stands for Healthy Eating Every Day. It is a trademark of Active Living Partners and also the name of a book which is a companion to Active Living Every Day. I reviewed Active Living Every Day and posted a link to the review on my articles page.
H.E.E.D. goals fall into 6 areas.
1. Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables
2. Decrease consumption of FATS (25% of calories in the average American diet come from fats)
3. Increase consumption of low-fat Dairy Products or Dairy substitutes
4. Increase consumption of Whole Grains
5. Balance calories with activity levels
6. Strive for 30 minutes of physical activity as a daily goal.
