To Thy Self-Knowledge be True

Do you know yourself?

I know you recognize yourself in the mirror but do you know yourself metabolically, internally, physically? You need to get acquainted and I want to help you. I just finished courses in weight management and body composition analysis at the Cooper Institute in Dallas, TX. These will be valuable in helping me help you with your wellness goals.

Dr. Ken Cooper is the originator of the word aerobics and author of the 1968 book by the same name. He has authored or co-authored 19 books since then and the research institute he founded in 1970 is still on the cutting edge of wellness!

Let me ask you these questions:

1. Do you know what your resting metabolic rate (RMR or BMR) is? Do you know how to find out?

2. Do you know to within 100 calories how much you are eating each day? Do you know if it is healthy for you?

3. Do you know your ideal body weight? How about an estimate of your body fat percentage?

4. If you are like most Americans, you want to lose “weight”. What kind of “weight” do you want to lose? How much should you lose each week and how should you plan to do that?

I am going to answer those questions in future articles but here is an offer from me. If you subscribe to my blog by email or by rss, I will talk with you by phone and help you to answer these questions for yourself. If you subscribe now, leave a comment on this article so I can contact you by email to arrange a time. If you don’t now subscribe but do so before April 30 and leave me a comment on this article, you can also qualify. Your comment should just indicate you are a subscriber and want to be contacted by me.

I look forward to hearing from all my subscribers.
