Your Diet and My Pyramid

My Pyramid is a site operated by the government to educate you about diet recommendations that will help you be more fit, less fat and live longer and healthier. It is located at MyPyramid.gov . Avoid the site of the same name but with the ending .com. It is a spoof and will only serve to confuse you until you are really familiar with what you need to do.

Why visit this site? Because you want to live healthy longer. There are 3 factors that greatly influence this. 1. If you eat breakfast, you will usually live longer than those who don’t. 2. If you exercise regularly you usually will live longer. 3. If you have an ideal body weight you will live longer.

Is your body weight ideal? Check your BMI which is a ratio of weight to height. If you are 25 and below you are in a good BMI. You could still be carrying too much fat so you also need to be fit and that requires exercise.
