Burning Extra calories - A PDF gift for my subscribers
There are over 8000 internet searches per day that include the word calorie.
There
seems to be two intents for these searches. To either find how how many calories in food or how many are burned by exercise-type activities.
The goal of all these people is to lose weight and usually the motivation is the title of this category - to look better and especially when naked. A worth while goal if it is done in a way that benefits the body and does not harm it.
Dr. John Ratey, author of the book Spark, says that the main benefit of exercise is on the brain and that the benefit to the body is secondary. He makes a very strong case for this and in doing research, I found he is not alone in this opinion. So, if you exercise regularly to help with weight loss, you help your brain also.
The 2 page pdf I have created will be delivered to those who have subscribed to my blog via the sign up form in the top far right corner. Some of you may get this via rss but my ability to really know how many people receive this via rss is poor. I want to know how many people value this information enough they want it via email. Those that do get my perks. They will get another in December when I release the first phase of my personal empowerment program at a discount to them.
If you are already signed up, you will get the PDF through my auto responder in your inbox a day or two after this arrives.
Start tracking what you do for exercise. Do not discount any activity, but become aware of opportunities to do something physical and take it. Wash the car at home instead of at the car wash. Walk to the store or park further than usual from the front door. Take the steps up one or two flights instead of the elevator. Walk the dog longer than usual each evening. Increase your walking intensity by carrying a light weight in a back pack or by learning to Nordic Walk.
OK, look for your PDF and let me know what I can do for you by leaving me a comment here. What is it you want to know or accomplish with your health?
