Recommended Presents for Greater Wellness #1

There are a few things that can assist anyone to improve their wellness.  Of Course, Wellness is not the absence of disease.  It is the presence of attitudes and habits that lead to better functioning of the body, resistance to disease, better rest and less stress, and greater fitness with a close to ideal body weight.  This is the ideal outcome and is the result of steady effort to get to a state of wellness and stay there. Here is the first of a few recommendations for equipment or books to help in getting to that state and staying there. This is the first in a series before Christmas.

First, to track your daily activity and improve your “lifestyle” exercise I recommend an Omron pedometer. It is Aerobic activity, more than any other that helps us burn our excess stored fat and makes us look better and be healthier.

This pedometer model does not need to be perfectly vertical to work and therefore can be carried in a pocket, backpack or purse.  It will track the number of steps you walk working, shopping and allow you to track your progress with software for your computer.

It has a large display that is easy to see, a clock that shows the time of day and time spent aerobic walking, a 7 day history in the device, plus the ability to download information and track progress on your computer.  I have an earlier version and really like it.
