I have written about your diet in these tips and have defined diet as what you are eating. I want to clarify that a diet is not for losing weight! Your diet is to improve your health, restore your body, give you energy and contribute to good health and longevity.
There are a lot of diet secrets out there. I think the biggest secret is people don’t care, you know like the song says “Girls just want to have fun”. That goes for guys too. I started a wellness course that I called Recipe to Look Better Naked. I called it that because the main reason people change eating habits is for the purpose of appearance. Then it is a temporary change. OK, no lecture. Here are some tips that will make any change more effective.
1. Eat on a smaller plate. This makes it look like you are getting more. It works.
2. When eating out, get a “to go” box delivered with your food. Put half of your meal in it and take it home.
3. Never eat standing up EVER! At home, in the grocery store (free samples!), while preparing food, never ever. “Ah! Come on Man!” You say. No, you come on. You can’t control your body fat percentage eating while standing, or walking. Sit down, savor it, smell it, taste it, eat the food slowly! When you are finished, get up. If you are working, do not stop, finish, sit down and eat.
