I remember watching a gray-haired couple get out of a ferry that brought us to a island where we could camp. They were fluid, flexible, and had youthful energy despite their age.

That's how I want to grow old, and that's what being fit will allow.

Now I admit I've been lacking in exercise lately and it shows. Need to schedule time away from the computer.

Reasons for being fit: Be able to have fun, walk forever, stay strong, have healthy bones, staying healthy.

Definition of fitness: Being able to walk fast enough to outpace the mosquitoes!

Exercises & equipment: Recently got a rebounder (a mini-trampoline) which is good for balance, movement, and energizing. Also, walking is great: it's what we were built to do. Also, stretching in the opposite directions of the ones I'm usually in. Also, keeping a strong back side because a lot of "old age" is just losing the fight to gravity!
